Carol Rasmussen, MSN, NP-C, CDE is a nurse practitioner with many years of experience treating patients with diabetes.  Currently Ms. Rasmussen practices at the Exodus Healthcare Network in Magna, Utah and also serves on the AADE Editorial Advisory Board for The Diabetes Educator publication.  Moreover, Ms. Rasmussen received the Legislative Leadership Award from the American Association of Diabetes Educators at their 2009 Conference in Atlanta.  Her presentation will cover the challenges of increasing access to diabetes education and strategies for overcoming such obstacles, as well as various tools/resources/programs from AADE.

onc The Alaska Rural Telehealth Network is excited to be working again with the Alaska Pharmacist’s Association (APA) and Providence Alaska Medical Center (PAMC) to provide rural healthcare facilities access to the 2009 – 2010 Oncology Lecture Series via live, video broadcast. Please see the schedule for specific topic and speaker information – this schedule is subject to change without notice.

These sessions will air monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 pm Alaska Time.

Session content is applicable for health professionals involved in infusion pharmacy or the administration of chemotherapy drugs. Continuing education units are available through the APA for pharmacists who attend, sign-in and complete an evaluation form for each session.
