Capabilities and Limitations

Data recovery generally applies to the following situations:

the user logs out before the data is saved to the case

the user logs out before the case is completed (i.e., sent, placed on hold or archived)

the software or Windows Operating System closes or stops working

the Cart is shut off or the power is disconnected

Data recovery typically would not apply to serious hardware failures such as hard drive failures.

Data that is handled by third party software is not recoverable until saved into the case. This applies to such devices as the spirometer and ECG, both of which utilize software designed by Midmark to operate the devices and generate the raw information.
