New Features

Attachment Viewer

Clicking on attachments in tConsult Web now launches an “attachment viewer” that supports a thumbnail list next to the main image and document viewer.

PDF Document Library

A library of PDF forms can be managed, accessed, and shared via the existing ‘Add Forms’ functionality of tConsult Web and Cart. PDF forms can be uploaded, versioned, and managed through the Forms Manager interface in tConsult Web

On Hold Reason (Case Status)

When placing a case on hold, users can now indicate why by selecting a reason from a dropdown list (e.g. Awaiting Labs, Travel Pending, etc). Administrators must create an initial list of On Hold Reasons in tConsult Web on the System Administrator page and can manage the list. On Hold Reason will be included in the case activity, allowing users to view the history of the case’s status. Cases can be sorted by On Hold Reason in tConsult Web. On Hold Reasons are visible next to the case status indicators in tConsult Web and Cart

 


Form Designer Improvements

The custom form designer now supports data-bound fields that pull information from the AFHCAN database regarding patients, providers, case data, and the Electronic Provider Signature field.  Form elements can be given extra “Field Name” values to support future reporting and querying developments.

Electronic Provider Signatures

Users can create electronic signatures that are used to sign forms that contain an Electronic Signature field. Users can create and modify their Electronic Signature password in the “My Settings” section of both tConsult Web and Cart. Administrators can set a user’s Electronic Signature password to blank in tConsult Web

Editable Form Content

Custom-designed forms now support editing of form content after a case has been sent or put on hold.


Scanner Update

Multiple documents scanned with a sheet-feed scanner can be converted into a single PDF document for quick and easy review. Scanner resolutions can be set independently for each supported color mode (black & white, grayscale, color). When a sheet-feed scanner is attached, users are given the option to scan multiple pages as a single document or as individual images.

 

HL7 Interface

The AFHCAN tConsult software accepts live feeds of patient demographic messages (ADT A04 and A08) via an HL7 interface.

Additional New Features

 

·         Recent Recipients in the Reply-To / Send list will be limited to 5 entries

·         Recipients in the Reply-To / Send list will include their home organization next to their username

·         Searches in tConsult Web use “Starts With” instead of “Contains”

·         Auto-complete functionality in tConsult Web use “Starts With” instead of “Contains”

·         Changing the patient is not allowed after certain attachments are added to a case (an ECG, custom form, or spirometer)

Compatibility

tConsult Server and tConsult Cart must both be running v5.0 to correctly communicate with each other
